Auction result misses estimated price range
In September this year a collector was able to acquire the work Cindy Sherman by Deborah Kass for USD 25,200.00 (€ 23,809.52). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War to Present at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Deborah Kass - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Silver Deb, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 94,500.00 (€ 88,062.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cindy Sherman von Deborah Kass für USD 25.200,00 (€ 23.809,52) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Deborah Kass mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Silver Deb beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 94.500,00 (€ 88.062,62) versteigert wurde.
