Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Manhattan Excavation (Campbell/Dodgson 390) by David Muirhead Bone was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,835.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Muirhead Bone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Soho Square, London, which sold at auction in June 2001 for GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,783.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Manhattan Excavation (Campbell/Dodgson 390) von David Muirhead Bone kam im April 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.835,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von David Muirhead Bone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Soho Square, London beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für GBP 5.287,50 (€ 8.783,59) versteigert wurde.
