This artwork by David Muirhead Bone achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2011. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work The Fish Market, Brighton (illustrated); and Brighton Pier sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,689.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Admittedly, works by David Muirhead Bone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Soho Square, London in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,783.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Muirhead Bone erzielte im April 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit The Fish Market, Brighton (illustrated); and Brighton Pier für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.689,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Muirhead Bone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Soho Square, London im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.287,50 (€ 8.783,59).
