Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Muirhead Bone achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2011. In the Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints including Property from the Estate of Ernst Beyeler auction, the work Ayr Prison (Campbell Dodgson 179) sold for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,986.84) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Muirhead Bone; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Soho Square, London sold at auction in June 2001 with the realized price of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,783.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Muirhead Bone erzielte im September 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints including Property from the Estate of Ernst Beyeler wurde die Arbeit Ayr Prison (Campbell Dodgson 179) für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.986,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von David Muirhead Bone; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Soho Square, London im Juni 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 5.287,50 (€ 8.783,59).
