The work Filey Bay by David Muirhead Bone was sold in the Modern British Art auction at Christies in London in September 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,378.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by David Muirhead Bone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Soho Square, London in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,783.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Filey Bay von David Muirhead Bone wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Modern British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.378,33) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Muirhead Bone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Soho Square, London im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.287,50 (€ 8.783,59).
