This artwork by David Muirhead Bone achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2010. In the Victorian and British Impressionist Art auction, the work Accross the hills sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,256.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Muirhead Bone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Soho Square, London, which sold at auction in June 2001 for GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,783.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 94 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Muirhead Bone erzielte im Juni 2010 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian and British Impressionist Art wurde die Arbeit Accross the hills für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.256,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Muirhead Bone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Soho Square, London beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für GBP 5.287,50 (€ 8.783,59) versteigert wurde.
