In May 2008 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Untitled (1777) by Daniel Hesidence. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,250.00 (€ 7,230.08), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Daniel Hesidence have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 51,822.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (1777) von Daniel Hesidence zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 7.230,08) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Hesidence auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 51.822,48).
