Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (Waltz Painting) by Daniel Hesidence was auctioned at Christies in New York in August 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,236.26). Admittedly, works by Daniel Hesidence have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 51,822.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (Waltz Painting) von Daniel Hesidence im August 2020 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.236,26) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Hesidence auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 51.822,48).
