Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dan Walsh could be acquired at Phillips in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Vehicle I-IV changed hands for USD 1,512.00 (€ 1,298.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dan Walsh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Diptych II in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 64,149.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dan Walsh konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wechselte die Arbeit Vehicle I-IV für USD 1.512,00 (€ 1.298,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dan Walsh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Diptych II im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 64.149,56).
