Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Dan Walsh was sold in the 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November this year. The price achieved of EUR 18,900.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 17,000.00 – 23,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dan Walsh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Diptych II, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 64,149.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Dan Walsh wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 18.900,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 17.000,00 – 23.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dan Walsh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Diptych II beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 64.149,56) versteigert wurde.
