The »bidding war« ended at USD 44,100.00 (€ 45,078.20), 47% above the upper estimate. Other works by Dan Walsh have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 87,500.00 (€ 64,149.56) in May 2014 for the work Red Diptych II.
