Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Untitled (set of nine woodcuts) by Dan Walsh. The price achieved of USD 13,125.00 (€ 11,147.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dan Walsh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Diptych II in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 64,149.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (set of nine woodcuts) von Dan Walsh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.125,00 (€ 11.147,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dan Walsh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Diptych II im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 64.149,56).
