Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dan Walsh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2019. In the First Open | Online auction, the work Lineup sold for USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,677.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dan Walsh; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Red Diptych II sold at auction in May 2014 with the realized price of USD 87,500.00 (€ 64,149.56).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Dan Walsh erzielte im Juli 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open | Online wurde die Arbeit Lineup für USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.677,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Dan Walsh; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Red Diptych II im Mai 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 64.149,56).
