Sold at the lower estimate price
This work without title by Charles Ray was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. The result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,039.27) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Ray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aluminum Girl in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 4,282,500.00 (€ 3,463,684.89).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Charles Ray wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.039,27) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Ray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aluminum Girl im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.282.500,00 (€ 3.463.684,89).
