This work without title by Charles Ray was auctioned at Phillips in London in September this year. It achieved a price of GBP 1,397.00 (€ 1,397.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Ray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aluminum Girl in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 4,282,500.00 (€ 3,463,684.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 55 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Charles Ray kam im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.397,00 (€ 1.397,00) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Ray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aluminum Girl im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.282.500,00 (€ 3.463.684,89).
