Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work All My Clothes by Charles Ray. The »bidding war« ended at USD 176,400.00 (€ 150,217.15), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Ray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aluminum Girl in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 4,282,500.00 (€ 3,463,684.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit All My Clothes von Charles Ray zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 176.400,00 (€ 150.217,15) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Ray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aluminum Girl im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.282.500,00 (€ 3.463.684,89).
