The work Marbles Ix by Charles Bell was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2007. It achieved a price of USD 204,000.00 (€ 151,639.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Bell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Miami Beach, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 769,000.00 (€ 523,556.64).

Die Arbeit Marbles Ix von Charles Bell wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 204.000,00 (€ 151.639,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Bell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Miami Beach beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 769.000,00 (€ 523.556,64) versteigert wurde.
