Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session, which included the work Gin by Charles Bell. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 350,000.00 (€ 317,633.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Charles Bell have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Miami Beach was auctioned for USD 769,000.00 (€ 523,556.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gin von Charles Bell zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 317.633,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Charles Bell konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2007 die Arbeit Miami Beach für USD 769.000,00 (€ 523.556,64) versteigert.
