Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marbles #1 by Charles Bell was sold in the Post War and Contemporary Art Morning Session auction at Christies in New York in November 2007. It changed hands for a price of USD 85,000.00 (€ 57,870.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Bell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Miami Beach in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 769,000.00 (€ 523,556.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Marbles #1 von Charles Bell wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Morning Session bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 85.000,00 (€ 57.870,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Bell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Miami Beach im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 769.000,00 (€ 523.556,64).
