This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Charles Bell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Miami Beach in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 769,000.00 (€ 523,556.64).
