The work Bear in the Deep Woods by Ben Sledsens was worth USD 226,800.00 (€ 200,939.13) to a buyer in November 2021. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ben Sledsens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Throwing Dice, which sold at auction in June this year for GBP 504,000.00 (€ 586,569.23).

Die Arbeit Bear in the Deep Woods von Ben Sledsens war einem Käufer im November 2021 USD 226.800,00 (€ 200.939,13) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Ben Sledsens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Throwing Dice beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für GBP 504.000,00 (€ 586.569,23) versteigert wurde.
