Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Crow With Berries by Ben Sledsens was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 27,940.00 (€ 32,082.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ben Sledsens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Throwing Dice in June this year with an auction result of GBP 504,000.00 (€ 586,569.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Crow With Berries von Ben Sledsens wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 27.940,00 (€ 32.082,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ben Sledsens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Throwing Dice im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 504.000,00 (€ 586.569,23).
