Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Abstraction In Red And Brown by Aref El Rayess. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,406.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aref El Rayess achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 127,548.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstraction In Red And Brown von Aref El Rayess zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.406,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aref El Rayess erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 127.548,65).
