Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Aref El Rayess could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work Lebanese rose Gothique (Gothic Rose From The Time - Man - Machine Series) changed hands for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,677.69) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aref El Rayess have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 127,548.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Aref El Rayess konnte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wechselte die Arbeit Lebanese rose Gothique (Gothic Rose From The Time - Man - Machine Series) für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.677,69) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aref El Rayess auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 127.548,65).
