In April 2015 Sothebys in Doha held the auction Contemporary Art / Doha, which included the work Espace Homme, Machine Dans La Fantaisie Orientale (Man Space, Machine From Orientale Fantasies; From The Human, Time, Machine Series) by Aref El Rayess. The »bidding war« ended at USD 60,000.00 (€ 53,753.81), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aref El Rayess - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore), which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 137,000.00 (€ 127,548.65).

Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Doha die Auktion Contemporary Art / Doha durch, in der auch die Arbeit Espace Homme, Machine Dans La Fantaisie Orientale (Man Space, Machine From Orientale Fantasies; From The Human, Time, Machine Series) von Aref El Rayess zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 53.753,81) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Aref El Rayess mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 137.000,00 (€ 127.548,65) versteigert wurde.
