Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (from the Desert series) by Aref El Rayess was sold in the Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in March 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 72,500.00 (€ 64,570.72). Other works by Aref El Rayess have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 137,000.00 (€ 127,548.65) in March 2015 for the work Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore).
