Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Sothebys in Dubai held the auction Boundless: Dubai, which included the work Lebanese untitled by Aref El Rayess. The price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 18,910.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aref El Rayess have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 127,548.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in Dubai die Auktion Boundless: Dubai durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lebanese untitled von Aref El Rayess zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 18.910,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aref El Rayess auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 127.548,65).
