Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (from Temps - Homme - Machine series) by Aref El Rayess was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part I auction at Christies in London in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 22,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 23,940.00 (€ 27,740.99). Admittedly, works by Aref El Rayess have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 127,548.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (from Temps - Homme - Machine series) von Aref El Rayess wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part I bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 22.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 23.940,00 (€ 27.740,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aref El Rayess auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 127.548,65).
