Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lebanese untitled by Aref El Rayess was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2017. The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,959.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 22,000.00 – 28,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aref El Rayess have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 127,548.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lebanese untitled von Aref El Rayess kam im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.959,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 22.000,00 – 28.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aref El Rayess auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 127.548,65).
