In April 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art/ Middle East, which included the work Lebanese untitled by Aref El Rayess. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 65,000.00 (€ 77,188.62), 30% above the upper estimate. Other works by Aref El Rayess have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 137,000.00 (€ 127,548.65) in March 2015 for the work Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art/ Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lebanese untitled von Aref El Rayess zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 65.000,00 (€ 77.188,62) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Aref El Rayess haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 127.548,65) im März 2015 für die Arbeit Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) beobachtet.
