Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in Paris held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included this untitled work by Aref El Rayess. The price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,520.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aref El Rayess have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 127,548.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Aref El Rayess zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.520,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aref El Rayess auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 127.548,65).
