Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Moon Bay by April Gornik was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2011. The result of USD 1,000.00 (€ 697.45) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by April Gornik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Delicate Hour (For My Father) in March this year with an auction result of USD 75,600.00 (€ 69,536.42).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Moon Bay von April Gornik kam im Juli 2011 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 697,45) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von April Gornik erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Delicate Hour (For My Father) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 69.536,42).
