The work Sea, Rocks, Storm, 1991 by April Gornik was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2018. It achieved a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,873.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by April Gornik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Delicate Hour (For My Father) in March this year with an auction result of USD 75,600.00 (€ 69,536.42).

Die Arbeit Sea, Rocks, Storm, 1991 von April Gornik kam im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.873,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von April Gornik erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Delicate Hour (For My Father) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 69.536,42).
