Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fire And Water by April Gornik was sold in the By Women, For Tomorrow's Women auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. The price achieved of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,718.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by April Gornik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Delicate Hour (For My Father), which sold at auction in March this year for USD 75,600.00 (€ 69,536.42).
