Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by April Gornik could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January 2024 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Moonlit Sea changed hands for USD 614.40 (€ 536.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by April Gornik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Delicate Hour (For My Father) in March this year with an auction result of USD 75,600.00 (€ 69,536.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von April Gornik konnte im Januar 2024 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Moonlit Sea für USD 614,40 (€ 536,97) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von April Gornik erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Delicate Hour (For My Father) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 69.536,42).
