Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by April Gornik achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in June last year. In the Editions Southampton auction, the work Mirror Forest sold for USD 4,410.00 (€ 4,212.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by April Gornik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Delicate Hour (For My Father) in March this year with an auction result of USD 75,600.00 (€ 69,536.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von April Gornik erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions Southampton wurde die Arbeit Mirror Forest für USD 4.410,00 (€ 4.212,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von April Gornik erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Delicate Hour (For My Father) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 69.536,42).
