Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Saint Bambi by Andrei Molodkin for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,949.76). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrei Molodkin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yes, which sold at auction in March 2008 for GBP 23,300.00 (€ 29,270.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Saint Bambi von Andrei Molodkin für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.949,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrei Molodkin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yes beobachtet, die im März 2008 für GBP 23.300,00 (€ 29.270,58) versteigert wurde.
