Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Human Rights by Andrei Molodkin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 23,590.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Andrei Molodkin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2008 the work Yes was auctioned for GBP 23,300.00 (€ 29,270.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Human Rights von Andrei Molodkin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 23.590,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Andrei Molodkin konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2008 die Arbeit Yes für GBP 23.300,00 (€ 29.270,58) versteigert.
