Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Blue Dream by Andrei Molodkin was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,685.28). Other works by Andrei Molodkin have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2008 by the work Yes at GBP 23,300.00 (€ 29,270.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Blue Dream von Andrei Molodkin im September 2012 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.685,28) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Andrei Molodkin wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2008 die Arbeit Yes mit GBP 23.300,00 (€ 29.270,58).
