This artwork by Alexis Rockman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2019. In the First Open | Online auction, the work without title sold for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,716.98) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexis Rockman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hot House in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,465.58).
