Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alexis Rockman could be acquired at Phillips in an online auction in April 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Editions Online auction, the work The Biosphere Micro-Organisms; and Biosphere Bats changed hands for USD 250.00 (€ 228.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexis Rockman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hot House in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,465.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexis Rockman konnte im April 2020 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Editions Online wechselte die Arbeit The Biosphere Micro-Organisms; and Biosphere Bats für USD 250,00 (€ 228,21) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexis Rockman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hot House im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 34.465,58).
