Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction The Hall Art Foundation for Dreyfoos, which included the work Puffins by Alexis Rockman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 8,242.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexis Rockman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hot House in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,465.58).
