Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Fylum by Alexis Rockman for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,873.06). This price was achieved in the auction First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Alexis Rockman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hot House in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,465.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Fylum von Alexis Rockman für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.873,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexis Rockman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hot House im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 34.465,58).
