Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Horizontal From 2009) by Alexander Ross for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,024.92). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Ross - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,169.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Horizontal From 2009) von Alexander Ross für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.024,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Ross mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.169,46) versteigert wurde.
