Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alexander Ross could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,695.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexander Ross have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,169.46).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Ross konnte im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.695,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Ross auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.169,46).
