Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape (Yellow) by Aaron Young was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,195.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aaron Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greeting Card 10a in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 121,250.00 (€ 139,803.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape (Yellow) von Aaron Young wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.195,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aaron Young erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greeting Card 10a im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 121.250,00 (€ 139.803,15).
