Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Discoveries, which included the work Greeting Card (Armory, diptych) by Aaron Young. The price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,787.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aaron Young have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greeting Card 10a in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 121,250.00 (€ 139,803.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Discoveries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greeting Card (Armory, diptych) von Aaron Young zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.787,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aaron Young auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greeting Card 10a im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 121.250,00 (€ 139.803,15).
