Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yasumasa Morimura could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open/NYC auction, the work Self Portrait–After Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo 1, Greta Garbo 2, Brigitte Bardot 1, Marilyn Monroe, Sylvia Kristel, Audrey Hepburn 1, Liza Minelli 1 changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,637.65) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yasumasa Morimura have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Inner Dialogue with Frida Kahlo in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 66,000.00 (€ 49,770.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

In der Auktion First Open/NYC wechselte die Arbeit Self Portrait–After Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo 1, Greta Garbo 2, Brigitte Bardot 1, Marilyn Monroe, Sylvia Kristel, Audrey Hepburn 1, Liza Minelli 1 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.637,65) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yasumasa Morimura auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Inner Dialogue with Frida Kahlo im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 49.770,00).
