Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work I. Untitled (Study For Sculpture) Ii. Study For Gaia Two Works by William Tucker for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,260.47). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Tucker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beulah Xii, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,911.39).
