Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Tucker could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, the work I. Untitled (Study For Sculpture) Ii. Study For Gaia 2 Works changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,226.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Tucker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beulah Xii in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,911.39).
